That's what my cousin said. Their boat had some kind of metal rods
French or Italian steering (it was a Camper Nicholson), and they had
to wait a month to get the replacement. Living there was very
expensive.



Yes but it's a great place to live expensively. :-)

No one is forced to go there.

Interestingly enough the people who live in Bermuda full time can't
wait to get away for a weekend in New York City or London, sort of the
"another crummy day in paradise" syndrome.

Such a person could have some shipped in in barrels. Light plane
visitors have to carry fuel for the round trip.
