I'm looking for a source of BSB electronic charts for the DR and PR
which are compatible with Maptech Off Shore Navigator or OpenCPN.
I've found one source (Fugawi) but they claim that their charts are
only compatible with Fugawi Marine ENC or Fugawi Global Navigator.
I thought BSB was an open standard but appaerntly not.

Any ideas out there?

ALL US raster charts are available free for download frm the NOAA
site: http://www.nauticalcharts.noaa.gov/mcd/Raster/index.htm

They are compatible with OpenCPN if not with Maptech as well. They
cover PR , not sure about the DR.

P.S. NOAA also has free vector charts available that will work in
OpenCPN

Thanks for the tip on Puerto Rico. I had not been aware they were out
there.

That leaves the Dominican Republic.
