I would be extremely interested in a comparison of the Fleming 55 and
the Marlow 53 or 55. I am repositioning from a life of sailing to cruising and I want to make sure that I "get it right" the first time. I think I am leaning toward the Fleming, but I could really use some other opinions. Thanks very much. |

Everything about them is first-class, the boat is a textbook example of proper engineering & boat building. They are not as plush or as roomy as some other boats in that size range, and definitely less so than others in that price range, but IMHO they are truly at the top. Go into a Grand Banks engine room and see how the wiring is run & mounted, the piping layed out, the way switches & valves are labelled, the lighting, etc etc. Now go into a Fleming engine room and check it out. Lets you know which company spends money on engineering & craftsmanship, and which spends on advertising. Fair Skies Doug King |
