Default Back from 1 Year Cruise!!

What's analog? Is that anything like a logarithm (which must be a birth
control method)?

The intrepid Ericksons (Dave, Alexandra and Michelle) are back frrom our

one
year cruise to the Bahamas. It was our first time sailing south of Maine,
which we do each summer. We set sail last July in our 1968 Apache 37
heading north from Salem MA to Maine, spent the summer there, and then
headed south around labor day, cruising the Cape, LI sound, NYC, and then

to
the Chesapeake. Nov 1 we headed for a cold trip down the ICW and emerged
January 2 from Ft Lauderdale to the Bahamas for the winter. We sailed the
Abacos, Eleuthera, the Exumas and the Berrys, got down as far as Gergetown
for a couple of weeks. Around tax day we headed back to the US to sail

north
again and see a few spots we missed on the way down. Got home to Salem on
July 11th and are slowly adapting to being dirt dwellers again.

Awesome and amazing trip, well worth the planning and preparation. For the
many gory details and photos, check out our web site at

Anyone know any jobs for an EE Analog engineer?

Dennis:

Nah: He's probably an engineer with no fingers i.e. digitless.
That iron ring cuts off the blood supply! :-)

With apologies (and appreciation and thanks) to the Ericksons for
a very interesting, thorough and well written web site and
descriptions.

Terry.

Welcome home.

You shouldn't have any trouble. Analog EEs are hard to come by and
increasingly important. Digital circuits are running so fast that
circuit traces are looking more and more like transmission lines, and
there is a resurgance in demand for analog skills.

Might be worth it to check with Boeing. I don't know about now, but a
while back they were almost desperate for analog folks.
