Perhaps someone can help.
We have an aging Force 10 Kerosene lantern, Model P250K, that we used on our boat, that needs some sprucing up. We inquired of Force 10 who was not able to help, advising that a company named Anderson had taken over production of their lanterns some years ago. I could find nothing on the 'net about a company named Anderson that makes kerosene lanterns. Does anyone have any info or a source for replacement parts? Thanks. Diane P. |

Are you talking about a "genuine" kerosene lamp, the kind with a wick? We get these at Canadian Tire or Three Vets for about $5. GREAT lanterns - good for anchor lights. "Spare parts"? Hell, just buy a new one! Lloyd Sumpter "Far Cove" Catalina 36 |

It has great sentimental value and was quite costly at the time. It is 20 or so years old. I really would like to get it running reliably. It was/is a great lantern. I thought we got it at Defender, but can't locate the manual, receipt or any of the parts we had at one time. Diane |

![]() No kidding. You can get the red Chinese jobs in a lot of surplus stores, as well. I wouldn't use them inside, but hanging in the cockpit or elsewhere they are nice. I take a couple and put them in the Zodiac and use them on the beach. If I forget one, so what? Somebody gets a useful lamp. In the boat, I'd have a more solidly built and vented fixed kerosene lamp gimbelled and screwed to a bulkhead. R. Sounds like it has the same mantle as a presureized camp lantern.. If so
you can get them from Coleman or any other camping supply place. I also have one that use these that screws onto a small propane cylinder. What ever the type, if they use pressure tank they always seem to use the same mantle and put out a lot of lite. However they are noisy and generate more heat than you want to deal with in summer. |

After Hurricane Juan knocked out my power for six long days & nights, I
went to 'Lee Valley' and bought a 'Dietz Hurricane Lantern'...sometimes called a 'Blizzard Lantern'. It has a wick and can run on kerosene or lamp oil. I bought the lamp oil because it's supposed to be smokeless. Lloyd Sumpter wrote in message ... Are you talking about a "genuine" kerosene lamp, the kind with a wick?
