Default My poor boat

Poor old "Ragtime" my 23 yr old 8.5 M S2 is out of commission for at
least two months at the height of sailing here in N. FL. Her mast
step was collapsing from rot and wear and I decided to allow a "pro"
to deal with it. This is waaaaaaaay out of character for me to allow
anybody else to do work on my boat so I hope it goes well but I figger
that in the time he does it I can make more money doing other stuff.
Still, it seems like I sold her out. I am at loose ends while I wait
'n I wanna sail. By the time he finsihes, it'll be gittin hot agin.

A few years ago I had to replace the mast step on my S2 9.1. We pulled out
the mahogany which was rotting and replaced it with a completely glassed in
southern yellow pine with a 75 year guarantee. I'll be 125 when the
guarantee runs out. Keep sailing.
