yachts, in fact nobody I know would even contemplate taking a yacht
there. However some 42 million passengers were served by the new
airport in the past year, expected to increase to some 45 million in
the next year.

Obviously Jimmy Cornell has not taken a yacht to Bangkok as facilities
there are not, "obviously available in the capital Bangkok", but in
fact for all practical purposes, non existent in Bangkok.

His comments about Phuket are also pretty far out of date as
Ratanachai Shipyard, which can haul at least 100 ft, boats, has been
in business for something like 50 years; Boat Lagoon, a rather up
market marina with a hardstand area that can take, probably 75 boats
and approximately the same number of wet berths, has been there for
about 20 years and Yacht Haven Marina, at least 15 years.

In fact the only "new" development in the past ten years is the Royal
Phuket Marina that is essentially a real estate development with a
small marina attached as "eye candy".

Jimmy's files very obviously need some updating.
