I have encountered a "Goat Rodeo" trying to interface the Nauticast-B
along with the Actisense NDC-4 to the Raymarine E120. Things work on my laptop, wired direct thru the serial port. On the E120, nothing... seems it's not getting VDM and VDO nmea sentences. The baud rate is set at 38400 on E120. Anyone have any ideas as to what is wrong? Thanks in advance... Capt. Hank |

Hank The wrong multiplexer. There are multiplexers especially suited for this kind of application, that can handle the signal level of the Nauticast B at 38400. Google NMEA multiplexer AIS. WBH |
