Default ST40-Wind interface/calibration question

I have two ST40Wind units. Neither indicates wind speed. When I connect
the wind transducer I get a fixed wind angle that never changes but no wind
speed. Without the transducer connections no data is displayed at all.
Checked cables for continuity...all OK. Question is...do I need to
calibrate before I get to see any readings? Do I have a transducer issue
(what kind of signal does the rotovecta produce? I'm assuming it is either
magnetic pulse or opto coupler)

Why can't you talk to a live person at Raymarine? The web based "solutions"
are less than ideal.

Default ST40-Wind interface/calibration question

Call 18005395539 I call Raymarine tech support all the time. 99% chance it is
the Wind Vane (Transducer) that is defective.

Good luck
