I need to replace a Humminbird Hdr 600 in dash depth finder with a more
reliable unit. Any recommendation? What about a Lowrance 3500 with a flush
mount thru the hull transducer?

I can't recommend a good one, but I can sure say DON'T get a Standard
Horizon!!! I installed one and it worked for maybe 3 months, then went
crazy, Replace the head three times and the transducer once, still did the
same thing. I finally gave up and got a Raymarine.

I have use lowrance products since 1987 and have found the company most
helpful. I do not know specifically about the 3500 but their other
products (X-50, X70, x85, 2330) have performed very well for me.
