I have seen today the announce of the new Garmin GpsMap 396C, the unit
that supersedes the GpsMap 296C, wich is the portable tri-mode (air, sea, land) cousin of the two-mode (sea, land) portable GpsMap 276C. Besides the suport for the weather XM for pilots, it suports the TRANSPONDER GTX 330, wich is the aviation version of AIS. Pheraps, this indicates that a new GpsMap 376C (superseding the GpsMap 276C) could be launched soon when Garmin anounces its AIS Clas B Transponder? Any coments? Pascal |
