hi folks,

i've been messing with controlling my icom ic-706mkiig via ci-v and
have run into a problem. the ci-v commands for the 706mkiig don't seem
to include an on/off function. anyone have any information to the
contrary ? i have a computer that controls all of the electronics in
my setup and one of the things i wanted it to do was turn the radio
on/off as needed it to conserve power, but now i'm concerned because
there doesn't seem to be an easy way to turn it on and off. even if i
wired a relay inline with the power i don't think it would work because
that would surely turn the radio off, but i don't think reapplying
power would turn it back on. anybody know a way i could turn the radio
on/off under computer control ? thanks in advance.
