Huge library of Electronic manuals on Usenet
Someone has posted a HUGE library of electronic manuals to newsgroup:
alt.binaries.e-book.technical including military, test equipment, ham gear, MARINE GEAR (including all the ICOM marine manuals), antique radios, accessories, an amazing array. The files are in pdf and djvu formats. Adobe Acrobat Reader is free from www.adobe.com and Micro$not has a djvu reader for free from microsoft.com. I'm still downloading more as I type. Lots of the test equipment also has civilian and military calibration procedures, which are hard to come by if you're not around a cal lab. The Icom Marine manuals are the instruction manuals. No service manuals, yet, darn it...(c; Subject field of the headers all begin with ELECTRONICS MANUALS With each group, he has also posted PAR2 files to error check the actual files. If you've never used PAR files, download Quickpar for free from: http://www.quickpar.org.uk/ After installing Quickpar, which registers itself to all par files, you simply doubleclick on the PAR or first par file you come to and Windoze boots the program and runs it. Change the options with a check to "REPAIR AUTOMATICALLY" and after it finds an error, it will simply correct it without your input in the future. Quickpar can repair an amazingly trashed set of files, using programming black magic....(c; No need to do without manuals..... |
