Radar
I am currently runing Winchart NautiQ and SOB on my laptop, both using C-Map
Max charts. This is also interfaced with nmea data from Raymarine (Depth, wind etc) and obviously has a GPS input I am thinking of getting a radar. Can anyone advise me of manufacturers, and give me a clue how to interface this with the above. Where do I start? Am also trying to get a sunlight visible waterproof display to mount at the helm, but they don't yet seem to exist (at a sensible price anyway) Thanks Phil |

Radar
My little Furuno 1622 has been mounted on top of the dashboard on the
passenger side of my 19' bowrider for several years. 1) It is sunlight visible, 2) I don't know about Furuno/waterproof, but in a small boat there's plenty of moisture/spray/splash, if not from rain and rough water, from careless friends helping washdown.
