Default Raymarine ST 50 upgrade to ST60 issues??

I had the same problem. Was surprised Ray Marine could not service the
ST50 Tri data. I let it be know that I was not happy having to replace
the ST50 having sent it in a year and half earlier becaus e it was not
working. Anyway they offered me a refurbished ST60 at a lot less
money then buying a new one.

I had to redo the mounting holes as they are wider than the ST50 but
that was really no problem. They made up cables so I could basically
just plug in my old ST50 cables and everything worked fine.

I need to replace my failing ST50 Tri Data display. The ST 50 is no
longer produced, so I need to use a ST 60 series, either the A 22004
or A 22017. What is the difference between these 2, and what
compatability issues will I face in the replacement? Cables?
Transducer? I know that the display is different color and shape. Boat
is in Venezuela, I am in Oregon, so not sure of cables on existing
unit.
Many thanks, Bruce
