Default Match made in heaven?

The Hillary Secretary of State issue is sure getting interesting to watch
unfold.

Looks like the Clintons outwitted Obama, and now he has *no* choice but to
appoint her or risk a major backlash in his own party and supporters.

Hope this isn't an indication of a President Obama's negotiating skills in
other areas.

The Clintons have gone out of their way to make the appointment public and
appear to be all but certain..... without actually waiting for Obama's team
to formally make a decision or announcment.
Big Bill has already agreed to cooperate fully in the vetting process, and
Hillary's staff has routinely leaked that the process is well underway.

If he choses Richardson or someone else instead, the Hillary followers are
going to scream bloody murder. Dissed twice.

They have him boxed in pretty nicely.

The Obama isn't as adept at national and international politics as he
would like to believe himself to be.

Who do we want for Secretary of Interior, get a name out fast. Whomever
you name will not deny it and The Obama will have a hard time saying
that he didn't intend to appoint that person.

The Internet moves too fast these days.

Maybe not. Obama could counter with the position that he withdraws her
from consideration due to the Clinton's propensity to be manipulative
and not be trusted by anyone , even the president of these United States
Of America. I sure hope he shows the country that He's smart enough to
deal with them. We don't want the tail to be wagging the dog.

This is really funny. When you are vetted by the FBI for a high level
job, all manner of people are contacted about you. There are dozens of
people who have been contacted about Hillary for this potential job. But
Hillary or Bill leaked it. Right.

Do you seriously believe the vetting process for Secretary of State is the
same as an FBI background check for a security clearance? Come on Harry,
you know better than that.

Obama's cabinet selections and considerations should be highly kept secrets
until ready to be announced, especially for jobs involving national
security. Obama should know that. The Clintons should know it even
better.

It's a power play, and what makes it sickening is that it puts individuals
(Hillary) before the best interests of the country.

That's not my take. Andrea Mitchell first broke the news - and she
said it came from Obama insiders.
Obama will do what he wants, and he wants her. Otherwise he would
have his "insiders" leak that it won't be her.
That wouldn't hurt him at all.
He will soon be "The President of the United States of America."
The "political" shows are getting a little tedious. They latch on to
something like this - especially if it involves the Clintons - and
just yak yak yak like gossips about it.
Only way to express their "power."
They're not news people, they're gossips.
Obama will pretty much do what he damn well pleases.
He's got the balls for it, and the mandate from the American people.
Elections matter.
Next chance to change that comes in 2 years.
If Hillary stays in the Senate, she could be a thorn in his paw.
He wants her in the cabinet. Working for him, at his command.
The Clintons are has-beens in the Presidential arena.
Unless Obama screws up.
Some of you guys are just as bad in judging Hillary Clinton as the
other side is about GWB. Everything is an effing Clinton conspiracy.
Hey, remember "48 Hours?"
There's a new sheriff in town.

The FBI vetting process for high level appointees involves interviews
with people who know the prospective appointee. There's no requirement
the interviewee keep his or her mouth shut in the FBI interview.

One of my old buddies was "vetted" by the FBI in the 1980s for the
number 2 job at the USPS. I was interviewed about him. I wasn't asked to
not mention the interviews. Perhaps the process is a bit different now,
but neither the government nor the FBI can compel secrecy on a vetting
matter.
