Thanks

Josh, if your boat is outfitted with Mercruiser Alpha series lower
end, then the work isn't hard to do yourself, that is if you're handy
with tools. I'd get a Chilton or Seloc book (They're not expensive)
and do it yourself.

Parts are readily available .

Concerning the radar cables? well, that's different.

Thanks -- it is -- but the problem is -- I just had back surgery and cannot lift
or twist.... so I can't pull the outdrive myself.
Nor can I twist & bend to run the wires thru the radar tower tubes....

It seems most shops fall into 3 catagories:
1) charging way too much to pad the loss of business due to the economy
2) Are doing so much business that my job is just a piddly thing and no real
interest
3) don't return phone calls to make an appointment.
