Default Boating World going out of business sale

Boating World is going out of business and are having a big sale up to
50% off. Turns out it is 50% off some lures, 30% off some trailer
stuff I dont need and 20% off most of the rest. They had a few things
with good prices such as a Davis Echomaster radar reflector for $29
but I can still get almost everything for less than these prices from
mail order. All I bought was some epoxy filler.

You've got to watch those going out of business sales. They are
usually liquidators, and as such they price things for what they think
they can get out of them. Circuit City did that, and the salespeople
even had on Circuit City shirts!

We went in to the Circuit City sale with a list of things we wanted.
Turned out everything on our list was cheaper across the street at
Best Buy at their regular prices. It was just crazy, just about 20%
higher prices on sale at CC...

I never really thought their prices were all that advantageous anyway. I
could beat em every time on line.

Exactly! They had a Home Depot Landscape place here where I live, it's
seperate from Home Depot, and just sell landscape stuff. I forget what
they called them exactly. But they went out of business. Well, they
had a guy on the corner with a sign saying 30 to 50% off. He was
wearing a Home Depot apron! I went in there, and all were wearing
them. I didn't see anything that I thought was a deal. A week later
they were still selling there. I happen to have a friend in our brew
club that works at Home Depot. He told me that none of them were HD
employees, all worked for the liquidator. That's where I learned how
they work. And you are right, you can usually find things cheaper at
there regular price elsewhere.
Oh, got your voicemail, I'll call you when I've got time, busy as hell
yesterday and today.
