![]() "Eddie" wrote in message ... I'm in the process of buying a house anywhere from Pittsburg to Brentwood. I have only seen one free ramp, the one in Pittsburg. Are there any more that are free? Do private marinas, such as Big Break, allow non-members to launch? If one has to pay, any idea of how much they charge? Thanks Eddie Big break used to be about $10 when the bait shop The Hook line and Sinker was there. Lauritzens by the Antioch bridge is about the same. Most of the public ramps are about $10-15. Discovery bay is outrageous. Get a Hal Schell map of the delta. Hal has passed away but the maps are still available. Very good guide to the delta. Brentwood has one of the highest rates of foreclosed homes in the country, so do not overpay. www.anglernet.net is a very good local freshwater forum, and www.coastsidefishingclub.com is the sal****er board. To get all the stuff on Coastside you have to pay $25. But they are also one of the largest political action groups for sportfisherman in the the state. www.fishdelta.com is also a delta board. http://www.westernbass.com/ for bass fishing. Send me an email for any help. bmckee at ix.netcom.com |

www.lauritzens.com is the Lauritzen's website.
Don't forget the best Delta site of all: www.californiadelta.org And a great site for delta fishing of all kinds is www.fishsniffer.com They have highly trafficked and well managed forums. Also, Brannan Island is a great place to launch, up river near Rio Vista, but a bit of a drive for you, probably. Good luck and I hope you find a home. Dale www.FishWisher.com |
