It was a put down. It was blatant respect for him and the Military. It
wouldn't have mattered if he had said Senator the first time.

she was saying I'm the important subject here.

In the Senate, it is the Senators who are the important ones. There are
only 100 of them (99 at the moment); it is the most exclusive elected
official federal government club in this country. Generals are a dime a
dozen.

Incompetant duds. They are our employees! They are not royalty. And with
an approval rating less than the former President's. You think they might
engage their brain.

Here's the problem: A year ago all those generals were working for
Bush, and they were implementing his policies. Therefore, the
Democrats had to treat them like ****, which they did.

Now we have the same generals implementing the same policies, for the
most part, and the Democrats *want* to treat them like ****. But, the
generals have a new top dog, who is also a Democrat. This puts the
Boxer's of the world in a hard place. They have to take their
satisfaction any way they can.

I once shook hands with a pudgy guy who:

Sailed from San Francisco to Hawaii.
Rounded Cape Horn, twice.
Transited the Panama Canal.
Has owned more than 20 boats in his lifetime.
Sailed large boats competitively.
Has been hundreds of miles from land in a powerboat
under his command.

And who set a new record for the most distance covered
and most fish caught in the Chesapeake Bay in the shortest
time!

I most fervently agree with that post.

If WAFA pulls any ****, he will see his personal information reposted
(yes, it's available in Google)and cross posted to no less than 100
"interesting" groups. He was quiet for a week after it landed here.
He'll have to move if he pushes his luck.

That Ditzy Dan is one 'tough character', hiding down below the Mason-Dixon

Any organizations down there to handle his kind of threats?

Big whoop. Elected officials. Public servants with a dismal approval
rating.
If I were a sitting Senator right now I am not so sure I'd be so proud of
it.

Pure, unadultrated ego on her part.

Typical - you're no fan of democracy, but a big fan of the military. Well,
it's no easy task becoming one of 100 U.S. senators. Any idiot, and I mean
that in the fullest sense of the phrase (e.g., Herring, floridajim) can
become part of the military.

Strange way of interpreting a post .... and of thinking in general.
My post had nothing to do with democracy or the military.

Having said that however, the general deserves a compliment for maintaining
his professional demeanor and not allowing his personal feelings to overcome
it, as she did.

I am simply not a big fan of egotistical, pompous blowhards.
Haven't you noticed?

Eisboch

Really? You seem to be friends with SW Tom and D'whine.

Please note that Interstate 90 will be closed this weekend across
South Dakota. This closure will allow the Federal Government free
access to haul a 200 ton piece of coal to Mt. Rushmore so that
President Obama can be added to the Presidents on the monument.

To put it in marine radio terms, your transmitting section works fine but
your receiving section has lost a bunch of sensitivity.

Nothing to "handle", dummy. It will be a public service.
