We didn't do plasma, but we did do lasers... we did milling with
lasers.... can't (I don't think) do that with plasma....

Old school, think waterjet!


Not for milling and one of the things we cut a lot was wood. Some of
the furniture guys tried the water jet thing with wood. You would
think that the results would have been predictable. I guess not....


Oh, I'd bet that the more porous a material, the less predictable the
results. Add to that the fact that the wood's density isn't as
consitent as steel, and I think you'd have about a nil chance of
succesfully using a water jet to cut wood precisely!- Hide quoted text -

Yeah, water jets for wood are pretty common now from what I
understand. Mostly 2D stuff, cutting plywood and stuff...
