I think Florida law allows the governor, Charlie Crist, to name himself. Crist is the leading GOP contender for the Martinez seat... Martinez himself had a somewhat checkered term as senator. :) Jeb Bush would seem a logical choice. |

It's pretty funny to watch these Rs quit so they don't have to live through the frustration that every other elected official experiences. The contract for Republican office holders should only cover the period within which they think they can be effective and then some stand-in should do the rest. They clearly don't realize they're just stand ins from the start. |
