Actually the first part of that was said by Jim. I just changed it so it was more accurate. I *responded* to that statement by saying, "Bull****. As soon as he does something right, the right will support it. Which is false. The right will never support anything he does. The proof of that was in the the typical right-wing reaction at the Americans for Prosperity meeting. As for the Prosperity meeting, that wasn't an example of something 'Bama had done right. Now there you go trying to shift the conversation away from the point. Do try and stay on topic. "The right won't support anything he does". Stop right there. Don't go any further. Let's get that out of the way. I will support something 'Bama does that is right, i.e., correct. All I am asking is that you tell me one thing he has done right. Until you can tell me one thing he has done right, that 'the right' hasn't supported, your claim (opinion) is meaningless. You are giving an example of some elements of the right wing expressing their disapproval of 'Bama's attempt to get the Olympics into Chicago. I disapproved of that also. I would be embarrassed for the city of Chicago to host the Olympics, unless a lot of changes were made. Should we spend the money to change Chicago? I think the money could be better spent to fix Detroit, Washington DC, or several other cities with severe problems. It is 'your' opinion that his actions were 'the right thing to do'. Did he do it correctly? No. They aren't coming here. He blew it. Therefore, you've still not provided an example of something he did right. If the right has not, and will not, support anything he does (my opinion, which you should be trying to refute, but haven't), how is my bringing up anything he's done right going to change their opinion or yours? It'll still be wrong. All I can do to support my statement is give an example (OF HOW THE RIGHT-WING WON'T SUPPORT ANYTHING HE DOES), and the one I gave is a perfect one. Trying to get the Olympics to the US was the right thing to do and the people at that meeting *cheered* when he failed. Why is that? No one said "Ah, that's too bad.". Only "Yay, Obama failed!" WTF is that all about? The people are sick of 'Bama? If all you're going to say is the same old ****, don't bother. It was somewhat different, but still doesn't address the issue. |
