Default Some Fish Pics

These were caught off the dock behind my sister's condo in Punta
Gorda, where we stayed almost 2 weeks.
Real nice walking about 60 feet from the back door to fish.

Sheepshead wife hooked - the net is 17" across.
My shoe is 12"' long. Size 10.
Good to know some measures so you don't need a tape.
The teeth is why they call them Sheepshead.

Another I caught, about the same size.

Spade wife caught - about 14" Biggest I've seen, though they get
bigger.

Check the teeth on this little *******, a Mangrove Snapper.
Those teeth are still growing now.

Sheepshead and spades are good eating, but I didn't clean any fish
there. All went back. Cut 2 lines for swallowers.
Caught maybe 50-60 fish in many hours of fishing. Maybe 25-30 hours.
Had to be patient.
These pics were the biggest - except that snapper.
Bobber fishing, frozen shrimp.
Usually had a whole herring on a tight line rig too, but that didn't
produce anything but some chew marks.
Bought some frozen squid, but never opened the box.
Tides didn't seem to matter, nor time of day. High tide did seem to
be the worse fishing, but who knows.
Hot as hell, so we mostly fished late afternoon.
Wife hates alarm clocks on vacation, so I only persuaded her to get up
at daybreak once. We got skunked.
Fishing is like a box of chocolates. Never know what's inside the
water. That's how I like it - mostly.
Just enjoyed watching the bobbers, drinking cold iced tea and getting
bit by no-seeums towards sunset.
Others caught were small Mangrove snappers, one Yellow Jack and one
catfish, all small except the jack was over a foot.
But plenty of nice-sized spades worth cleaning if I wanted to.
Might have done if a cleaning station was set up there.
Wife beat me in catches about 2:1. Good for her.
Bitch.
Just kidding.
