i do watchstanding at the CG station in sandy hook, across the bay
from jones beach...they're a very busy station; always a shame when
lives are lost...

I served proudly for 31 years in the USCG Reserve, following 8 years active
duty in the Air Force. Coast Guard was and is a noble service, the only
military organization with a peacetime operational mission. The competence,
dedication, and willingness to serve by regulars and reserves is amazing.
