President Obama hasn't even made it through his first year in office
and already talk about Hillary is starting up.

Heh - how about that.

Was Hillary smart to be suckered out of the Senate and into the Obama
administration? Can she resign in disgust and still run against Obama
successfully in 2012? Or, would she have been better off staying in the
Senate and being a loyal Democrat and then turning when Obama became a
failure as President?

What are the odds that she will serve out the full four years as Sec of
State? If not, will she be fired or resign?

My money is on her getting fired within 6 months.

She won't be fired but I still would not be surprised to see her leave
around 2011 "to spend more time with her family". (and perhaps get her
campaign back on track)
It really all depends on how successful Obama is by then.
If he is perceived as being unbeatable she will probably stay on.

Hillary isn't going to mount a campaign against a sitting US President
who is a member of her party.

What might happen is this, though:

Joe Biden is 67 and will be 70 in 2012. He may not want another term as
VP, or his health might deteriorate.

Hillary Clinton is 62 and will be 65 in 2012. She might be interested in
the VP seat. As far as I know, she has no significant health issues.

I think the only way it happens is if Obama ends up in "Carter"
trouble. (Malaise and stagflation, with foreign policy in shambles)
and if the GOP actually came up with a credible candidate. I haven't
seen that guy yet.
I still say the GOP threw away the last election, assuming they were
going to lose anyway and not wanting to sacrifice anyone good. McCain
was still going to be in the senate and Palin was just an experiment.
If she had stayed in Alaska she would still be a star.

Actually, the people in Alaska were pretty fed up with her, according to
polls just before she resigned. Her popularity had dropped considerably.

While flippin' channels an hour ago, I caught the tail end of Oprah
interviewing her.
I have nothing against her...but she seems kind of ordinary to be VP..or
worse president of the US.
On the other hand I wouldn't mind having her along on a week long Caribbean
cruise...as long as she didn't talk too much.
Her voice and delivery is a bit irritating to my ears.

Is it that cold out already up there? You are inside, jerking it to
Palin while you watch - Oprah?

I think Johnny (the preacher) Herring had better have a word with you.

Amazing that these d.f. repubs actually think palin is an attractive
female for her age. She's short-waisted, has porous skin, and without
her makeup looks 15 years older than she is. And having had five
rugrats, she's surely loose as a goose where it matters.

If you are flajim, herring, loogy, GC boater, johnson, topbassdog, rob,
or one of a half dozen others, you're wasting your time by trying to
*communicate* with me through rec.boats, because, well, you are among
the permanent members of my dumbfoch dumpster. As always, have a nice,
simple-minded day.

Funny that he'd suggest you were jerking it to Palin. Yikes. God
forbid "Rob" would have to be attracted to a woman based on her brain.
That woman is among the least attractive I could imagine, Pelosi is a
babe in comparison, even if she is 30 years older.

"Rob" probably recorded Oprah so he can go home and yank while he
watches Palin lie. It's so powerful when a snarky woman lies
straightfaced.

Yup, there's the Harry we all know and hate.. "where it matters"??
Yup, that's quite representative of how uber-liberal Harry thinks of
women. Plume should pay attention, this is what we have been warning
her about. Now we get to see if she really has a brain, or is just
another intolerant ideologue...

The righties like dumb women, like the ones they've married. They've
said so.
