That's nice. Where exactly is vancoover.?

I have no idea...
on the other hand, Vancouver is the major Canadian city on the West
Coast. It's where the people of Seattle go for excitement.

I'm invited to visit up there (in the general area anyway) next August,
which is a slow time for me.... not sure of the exact date yet. They live
on Camano Island.

Go for it...they must have a half decent boat living in that area.

I think so, but I don't know they even have one. They're friends of friends.
Should be fun if they're anything like the people I know.

Forgot to ask... seems like a nice place, but besides the state park and
homes is there anything else there?

I've never been there... closest was the ferry from Vancouver to Vancouver
Island.
They do have a visitor site on the web.

There's a Chinatown, a lot of "shoppes," beautiful shoreline vistas,
interesting flora, mountains, ferries, according to my wife.

Forget that Chinese food and get over to Hope, about 100 miles east.
That's where they filmed "First Blood" which introduced Rambo.
And where Trautman said to Teasle,
"Vagrancy wasn't it? That's gonna look real good on his grave stone in
Arlington: Here lies John Rambo, winner of the Congressional Medal of
Honor, survivor of countless incursions behind enemy lines. Killed for
vagrancy in Jerkwater, USA."

Not that it's really Jerkwater, just saying...
