![]() I can't say I disagree. We're all pawns with illusions of belonging... Sun, 11/15/2009 - 11:47 — Alice X - Choms... Anyone who has no authority over the nature of their work is working class. They are the majority in this country and I commiserate with them. Between 60% and 80% depending on how you count. The Capitalist class, which is ONE PER CENT, has found it useful to make the majority of people THINK they, the workers are actually MIDDLE CLASS. Middle managers, professional specialists with some authority over the nature of their work, they are middle class. They are far fewer than imagined. Small business owners technically are of the Capitalist class but I would suggest that if they ever work next to their employees, and that happens with somewhere generally fewer than twenty workers, then they might be stated as being in the middle class. The middle class may side with the workers or they may side with the Capitalists, and that is not so surprising. What is is astonishing is that ANY working class person would side with the Capitalists and yet that is what we have with Reagan Democrats and Southern strategy Republican converts of the rural South. It was not so with FDR who united the working class of north and south. The Republican party almost disappeared. But the political parties have devolved very much from then, particularly the Democrats. I am distressed that the working class are hoodwinked into thinking that: 1) - the Republican party, one faction of the Party of Power and Privilege, has anything but scorn for working class people. 2) - that someone with no qualifications for the job, could be president. But then Sarah Palin is a Theocrat. No qualifications other than faith are needed. But I am equally distressed that so many people on the apparent left are hoodwinked into believing that the Democratic party, long the other faction of the Party of Power and Privilege has anything but scorn for working class people EITHER. We have just witnessed the most massive transfer of wealth in the history of the world, the Bankster bailouts, this at the hands of the first black President. The Capitalist class is thrilled with the Democrats so far. It is class warfare and the working class has lost, completely. As Jay Gould said: I can hire half of the working class to kill the other half. Today the Robber Barons don't even need hire us. The process of divide and conquer is all junk politics which is what the Capitalist class prefers. |

Sarah Palin was a mayor of a town and a successful small business owner and a governor. Obama had never done ANYTHING successfully except run for senator once. He had no qualifications at all for the job and has proven to be a total dunce. Palin is genius by comparison. Obambi lives in some alternative universe where socialism works. In my ideal world, everybody would have to work for themselves for awhile and THEN they could apply for jobs somewhere else. Nobody should be able to work for the govt unless they have worked in industry for a few years to get some idea of reality. Govt workers are seriously overpaid by comparison to industry. |
