I maintain that the future is in short, well written and punchy films of no longer than 20 minutes max. He obviously takes the opposite point and the debate rages. Every once in a while something comes along that proves my point - this is one of them. That's a great film - has all the components and is interesting, funny, poignant all at the same time. Nicely shot too boot. Great stuff - thanks. Folks may be open to short format film but it's hard to develop characters or a story arc of any real significance in such a short time. There's reasons other than the value of a movie ticket that push feature films to more than 80 minutes. You can develop great stories in a very short time. Comic strips are a prime example. But your viewer has to be both smart and semi well rounded to fill in the blanks. And you learned this in film school or in comic drawing school? We're talking about the medium called film. Thanks, when I need to know more about comic strips, I'll know to whom I should turn. Only the more intelligent read comic strips according to studies. |

Comic strips are a form of entertainment, film is one too. It's important to be able to distinguish between them. Good luck. |

Well, I am assuming you have finally become the victim of one of our spoofers ![]() didn't get past the first 20 seconds or so. Later mon, hope you are eating well ![]() Ditto on the first, and the last. -- John H "The problem with Socialism is that you eventually run out of other people?s money." *--Margaret Thatcher Well guys. I thought it was a neat little story of a guy (Who happens to be Angelina Jolie's brother) who has a nowhere job of being a bathroom attendant in a class joint who doesn't make any money and has no life. His car breaks down and by luck he finds opertunity with inginuity to go into business for himself,a nd makes a load of cash, finds out that it's lonly at the top and then has his business shucked out from underneath him. He finds himself at the bottom again, but also finds that he was appreciated and that good came out of his endevors. And with more luck, finds a soul mate and by more with more good fortune ends up making a good living with the woman he loves. 12 minutes tells a lot. BTW, all is going good.... so far. Speaking of bathrooms... They've finally found a good use for some of the zillions of photos and posters seen everywhere. http://jeremyinc.com/images/obama.jpg Wow John, that's pretty far out there... Even for you ![]() Well, I haven't bought any...yet. |
