donating more just by texting than their whole country is giving, do
you?

U.S. Texting Raises $11 Million for Haiti

Do you think that maybe, just maybe it's because the Germans are
humanitarians and are doing what they can and what they think is
right? Why do you have to be such a condescending ass about everyone
that isn't a white, conservative, christian U.S. citizen?
Just for you...

So...... just because Germany wants to help the relief efforts, that's
a bad thing???? Do you think every other country in the world besides
the U.S. should stop sending money to Haiti so that the U.S. can act
like they are above everybody else?

no

The USA is already above everybody else.

If that is the case, it isn't because you and the rest of the
right-wing trash give a damn about haiti or people of color.

Why make the situation in Haiti a political issue? There are millions
from both sides donating.

I have a problem with people like Wyclef Jean profiting from their
"philanthropy". Our local new stations dropped his BS pleas from their
broadcast and they are now investigating him. He profited from his own
"charity" - it was proven by his own tax returns. He paid himself rent
and $100K for a benefit concert. What an asshole!

Actually, conservative-libertarians love working people. It is the

I love investing in WORKING things. It is what generates wealth! It is

Funny, both presidents came into office in a recession. Reagan was

Yet it was all Reagan's fault but not Obama's? Listen to your liberal

It isn't like the left wing gives a crap either. Haiti was preventable
if all parties concerned really cared. For if they cared, Haiti would
have been dealt with 2 decades ago. But politicians (all parties) stuck
their heads were they usually are, up their arse.

Damn it. First the Germans go and do something just to make the U.S.

could!), now those damned Israilis are going into Haiti and setting up

are doing that just to make the U.S. look bad, too, right John?

Americans in the good old USA have now 'texted' over $27 million for
aid to Haiti. Gosh, that's almost three times the German aid, and it's
only the contributions from cellphones.

You've gotta love this country, even if you're a lib who's preoccupied
with putting it down.

Why are you talking about Germans and Israelis trying to make the USA
look bad? That's what liberals do. Then they apologize for how bad
this country is. Germany is one of their examples of how great
socialism can be.

Right!

WHOOOOSH............

What do you think of the Israilis efforts? Gee, a country with a small
percentage of the resources that we have, a lot farther from Haiti,
sent there emergency management teams in there, set up complete
hospitals with state of the art equipment while we were trying to
figure out how to get water to a few people right near the airport.

Whooooosh.............

There goes intellectual honesty, see it fly.... good bye honesty..

We have huge medical facilities floating just off the shoreline and have
for days, just as accessible as the other hospitals set up on land there
or over the border in the DR. Not to mention we "also" have a state of
the art 300 bed hospital set up outside Port au Prince, fully staffed
with fully functional trauma and emergency care units. Oh, and the USS
Comfort is in Port au Prince as we speak... Geeze, try not to let your
politics blind you from absorbing simple accessible information, just
because it doesn't suit your agenda...

Man, the more I think about this... We also had flat decks right off the
coast within 30 hours of the event. These ships are fully staffed with
all of the same equipment and capability as the Comfort along with air
support to move patients...

Not to mention what is moving on the ground is being moved and supported
by US troops. Even other countries are flying in, dropping off and
leaving it on the tarmac for the Yanks to distribute. The US presence
has helped calm these folks and most of the distribution is starting to
move along well with few signs of rioting or mobs...

As we speak we have amphibious vehicles "invading" Haiti with treatment
and rescue teams.

Congratulations to the US Military for the professional and timely job
they are doing down there..

At the same time, we are the closest superpower, stands to reason we
would be the first ones in...

Man...
