Tonight (wed),we are Roland Martin Marina on Lake Okechobee, so far
no serious problems, sorry Harry and jps.
Was windy yesterday with about 17 kts from astern untill we got on the
OKechobee waterway when it was abeam so we were going nearly 7 kts.
Must have gone 68 miles.
Stayed at a tiny marina called ":Jacks Marina" in Olga, FL and it was
inexpensive and pleasant and the guy running it was very friendly.
The waterway west of Labelle is very pretty with many homes with huge
old Live Oak trees, very pretty. We sailed for hours today past
orange groves that are blooming so the entire day we had the
incredible scent of orange blossoms. Locks were no prob and my
daughter quickly got the hang of them and of draw bridges.

Roland Martin Marina seems filled with half drunk older guys who try
to talk to my daughter much to her disgust.
They also seem to have the worlds slowest internet connection so maybe
more tomorrow from Stuart

I didn't ask his age. I asked his daughter's age. Seemed like a reasonable
question, given his comments about her being "hit on" by older guys.

I suppose I would answer honestly if I decided to answer at all.

What difference does it make if she's 20 or 30? You are just jealous.
That's all.

Well, it would make a big difference if she were underage. It would make a
difference to me and to my sis if that happened to my niece (who is 13).

Sounds like you're the one with the problem.
