What do you expect? Why would you do if I dictated to you what you would earn? Funny, you wonder why the Canadian Newfoundland Premier Williams with lots of money went to Florida for his surgical needs? It is because the Florida doctor isn't going to work for governemnt wages in Newfoundland. He couldn't get the operation in his own province, even though he is in fact the top boss of the Newfoundland health care system. You dumb**** liberals aught to think about how things really unfold and a little less about listening to Obama lips move. The whole idea is to get the revenue stream to statism government, one piece at a time. Then dumb down the services. That doctor knows that. -- To put this in proper perspective...... the entire population of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador is about 510,000 people. It isn't reasonable that they would have a specialist for every illness that might crop up. Even here in Nova Scotia with a population of under 950,000 we send people to Toronto for things such as kidney transplants. Why did he leave Canada at all? He could have flown to Ontario if they had better surgeons. It would be a much shorter flight than Florida! He went down to do some re-con work in the Pompano Beach area. Really? I thought you were smarter than that. He went to Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami and recovered in a condo he had in that area. Maybe in a few years after our health care "system" is all screwed up we'll be opting for Canadian treatment. You're claiming it's not screwed up now??? Got me there. More screwed up. |

It's just expensive and therefore not available to all. *That* is the problem and that is what all this is about. Eisboch |

In some ways, yet we tend to lag in, of all things, information technology, electronic medical records, electronic medication prescriptions, etc. Among other results of this, is American doctors and hospitals kill more patients through surgical and medical mistakes than their counterparts in other industrialized nations. It's just expensive and therefore not available to all. *That* is the problem and that is what all this is about. Yep, most expensive by far, but disregarding that, there is considerable discrepancy in doctor's competency. We have some extremely capable doctors, but unless you know someone in the profession, it's a crap shoot selecting the good ones. Eisboch |

Eisboch I believe that "is" the problem, but for a minute I don't believe that's what "all this is about". It's about a open bag of money for the govt to reach into so each and every congressman and senator can spend it at home where they think it will get the most votes. Scotty *You* are a contributor to the problem. You have no medical insurance, so when you go to the hospital, we get stuck holding the bag for you. You're a typical teabagger: bitches about the government, yet has both hands out at every opportunity, and can't spell worth a ****. -- http://tinyurl.com/ykxp2ym |
