Your statement tends towards ambiguity. Is it that "for the

Progressivism's

Sure. Whatever. Best of luck to you figuring it out.

You're dishonest.

If you're not going to be honest in your conversation, I'll ask you

There you go. You've found me out. I've adroitly manipulated Miss De

Because you're a bozo?

It's as though its a competition for who can submit the most acerbic

Yes, you've explained that reality very well.
Please continue reading this piece from Monty Python and the Holy Grail,
and my following comments.

ARTHUR: Now look here, my good man--
FRENCH GUARD: I don't wanna talk to you no more, you empty headed
animal food trough wiper! I fart in your general direction! You mother
was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!
GALAHAD: Is there someone else up there we could talk to?
FRENCH GUARD: No, now go away or I shall taunt you a second time-a!
[sniff]
ARTHUR: Now, this is your last chance. I've been more than reasonable.
FRENCH GUARD: (Fetchez la vache.)
OTHER FRENCH GUARD: Quoi?
FRENCH GUARD: (Fetchez la vache!) [mooo]
ARTHUR: If you do not agree to my commands, then I shall--
[twong] [mooooooo] Jesus Christ!
KNIGHTS: Christ! [thud] Ah! Ohh!
ARTHUR: Right! Charge!
KNIGHTS: Charge! [mayhem]
FRENCH GUARD: Hey, this one is for your mother! There you go.
[mayhem]
FRENCH GUARD: And this one's for your dad!
ARTHUR: Run away!
KNIGHTS: Run away!

It is clear that rec.boats has its Arthur, Knights, and French riffraff.
If you haven't seen the film, what happens at the (twong) is that the
French catapult a cow at Arthur and the English knights.
The French are a nasty and nefarious lot, and know not the meaning of
shame, or the proper use of a cow.
You are an Arthur, and sometimes a Knight, as are Scotty, Tom, John,
Dan, Steve, myself and the others here who are clear thinking gentlemen.
Our roles change, but out gentle and thinking matter remains constant.
The French riffraff are the deplums, Harrys, Don's, Loogys, jps's, etc.
The usual suspects.
They stick out like sore thumbs on a concert pianist, or - more
appropriate here - big ears on little elves.
Analogies such as this are sometimes useful to use in the explicative
form, and conducive to usenet.
Unfortunately, the French riffraff here are to manners and intellect
what Don Rickles is to humor; crude, mean-spirited, and obscene.
And that is the format they present here.
Short and mean insults. No real thought behind them.
A most disturbing waste of wit that could be better used to form
coherent argument.
Very similar to Beavis and Butthead, which I'm sure is the favorite TV
program for many of them.
Nothing for it really, and they must be dealt with in the polite but
dismissive manner we more noble are accustomed to using in such situations.
The Monty Python piece I've used as a means to roughly limn the parties
involved here fails in the end, where it ends in "Run Away!"
We are real American champions, not Brits of the dark ages.
We do not run away from adversity.

Jim - (This is my uncle's reply - he wanted to comment.)
