One thing I like over hockey is that they don't have the commercial breaks and stoppages all the time. I tune in to the World Cup while doing my treadmill and BowFlex exercises and the time passes fast... if I'm watching normal programming, I'm constantly reaching for the remote to mute commercials. Today I saw the first half of Greece& Nigeria. I didn't think you had a room wide enough to set up a bowflex machine. Don't 'think"....it's not your strong suit! My BowFlex Ultimate has been in three different rooms of my house, and the wife is planning to evict it from the back room where it sits now. Put it out in the garage or down in the basement. Thats where that sort of stuff belongs anyway. Some people store their motorbikes in the kitchen... |

I graduated from Yale. Really. I did. It was top secret though, therefore, no alumni or transcript records are available. It was top secret because of my missions to Viet Nam working with a very high up group of politicians and generals. Yeah, that's it. |

Don't forget baseball It doesn't matter, POS. If I don't like something, like to watch something, own something, no one else should neither. Take football. I was always too obese to play it, and besides, I was taking practice tests after school while the other kids were playing. So, I hate it. And because I hate it, anybody who would watch it is a right wing moron. Do you really have so little to occupy you in life that you're reduced to spoofing as your daily pursuit? Sad. ![]() |

I'm sure you are right. Soccer to me looks like a great game to play, but it sure seems boring to watch. Thousands of kids around here and everywhere else, I bet, are involved in school and after school soccer, and if they didn't like it, they'd be doing something else. I played it infrequently as a kid but never got hooked. My kids have been playing since they were 5. I didn't understand it very well until I went to see it played live at the UW. Once I saw how the game worked on the entire field, I was hooked. It's an awesome sport to watch if you're tuned into the grace, skill, athleticism and chance (process) and not focused on scoring. Scoring is the cherry on top. |
