Distributor coils and resistors
Just asking a quick question
My engines are 351 -Fords. I bought 2 new mallory distributors.The coils are collapsing (no fire) Through mallory I can buy the coil and resistor separate or can I put in a coil with a bult in resisitor? |

I'd say to use an internal resistor coil, but I might be wrong. Those were mainly used on electronic ignition. But they'd probably work and take another piece out of the equasion. |

Are these Mallory Unilite distributors? If so, Mallory makes a compatible round, OEM-style coils, and also firewall mount high performance coils, including one specifically for marine use. You can see them at Jegs.com and other sites. |
