Three stabbings, no one dead. Too bad they didn't have a guns, eh?

Three men were stabbed just before 8 p.m. Wednesday near Seattle's
Victor Steinbrueck Park, according to police. A short while later,
police arrested three possible suspects in the attack.

All three suspects had previous criminal records and were on active
Department of Corrections Supervision, according to Jeff Kappel,
Seattle Police spokesman.

One of the stabbing victims appeared to have life-threatening
injuries, Kappel said. The conditions of the other two were unknown
Wednesday night.

All three stabbing victims — two 20-year-olds and a 19-year-old — were
taken to Harborview Medical Center, according to Helen Fitzpatrick, a
spokeswoman for the Seattle Fire Department.

According to Kappel, at 7:47 p.m., police received a 911 call saying
people had been stabbed at Western Avenue and Virginia Street. There
were no suspects at the scene, he said.

Officers later found three men at the corner of Pine Street and Eighth
Avenue near the Paramount Theatre who were possible suspects, Kappel
said

One suspect, a 35-year-old man, had cut marks and injuries and was
taken to Harborview, Kappel said. The other suspects were a
35-year-old man and a 44-year-old man. Police recovered a knife and a
screwdriver from the suspects.

All three will be booked into the King County Jail for investigation
of assault or Department of Corrections violations, Kappel said.

i always wonder what the founding fathers would have done about
slavery if they could have known about the civil war

and i wonder what they would have done about the USELESS 2nd amendment
if they saw the slaughter in our country from guns.

the 2nd is 200 years out of date and should be repealed

Should knives be outlawed? What about rocks? you can cause some serious
damage with a rock!

You have a lot of history to catch up on, beginning with the little war the
founding fathers had just won? The one against a repressive and overbearing
government? The reason we don't bow to anyone's queen?
How about anyone between then and, well, now that has had to protect
themselves and others against people that meant to do them harm? How should
they provide this protection? Maybe slap the bad guy with a bunch of daisies
or a stylish European shoulder bag?
If the amendment were repealed tomorrow, what plan do you have for relieving
all the **** ant scumbags of their weapons? Or is the repeal just for people
who abide by the law? How do you think that's going to work out? I have a
feeling that a lot of people wouldn't buy into that bull****. Including the
founding fathers.

Since Korea, most of the "wars" we have been involved in have been
bull**** wars, and that includes Vietnam and Iraq. Bosnia was a
peacekeeping mission, something justifiable

which has what to do with guns?

nothing.

do what daniel patrick moynahan suggested years ago; destroy the gun
culture. no bullets. no gunsmiths. no repair shops. nothing. over
time guns would destroy themselves. they're mechanical. they have a
lifepan

yeah. i'm sure the FF would enjoy the 11,000 corpses caused every year
by guns. they'd LOVE that

especially when guns, compared to their costs, have few benefits

You are much more likely to survive an attack via gun vs. an attack via
knife. There may not be as many attacks, but a lot more serious damage is
done with a large cutting implement.

This makes some sense, but I'd like to see some statistics. The problem is
the severity of gun attacks.. not too many mass killings with knives. With a
knife, it's up close and personal. With a gun, almost any distance is
possible.

....and there's always the chance you can outrun a whacko with a knife...not
so much for a bullet.
