Information Needed on 27' Century Meridien

Basically what the subject line says. I am currently looking to upgrade
my Chris-Craft 232AC and have to possibilities to purchase a 1984-1989
Century Meridien. I really like the cabin layout, and the price suits my
budget, but I was curious on how previous and current owners felt about
this model and/or Century boats in genaral.

The models I've looked at come with a single Mercruiser 260, presumably
Alpha I drive. Was than enough power to push this boat at a reasonable
speed? Did the model come with a Bravo drive option?

How did it handle rough water? (For comparison, my ideal of rough starts
at 3-5 footers on Lake Erie.) How did it maneuver docking? Did the lack
of twins and size of the boat make it hard to control?

What were some of the quirks or problems encountered during ownership.
For example, did the boat suffer from cabin leaks, or electrical
problems? If you were in the same situation, would you buy this boat
again.

Please note, I am only soliciting advice from previous or current century
owners. Third hand, or speculative information is of little value to
me. If you know of someone who has owned a century, please forward along,
for their comments. Thank you in advance for your time.
