One can only imagine the comments you made, sotto voce, about all the people of color at Disney World, including, heaven forbid, *mixed* couples, including, incredibly (for someone like you), white women with men of color. Harry, you are the true racist. I'm sure that in your little world of right-wing stupor, that is the case. How is your Korean dentist? Do you ever talk about just your dentist, no. You always have to identify his nationality. You always have to identify people by their race or nationality. Why is that? Why can't you just see people? My Korean dentist is fine. In addition to being a first-rate dentist, he is a first-rate humanitarian. You think I'm a racist because I mentioned my dentist is Korean? If I had feelings of racial prejudice about Koreans, I likely wouldn't be going to a Korean dentist. Hey, he's an American success story, an immigrant who came here, learned English, got into college and got into dental school. I *celebrate* his contributions to our national diversity. Hey, I like Korean food, too. I also like the Korean airline commercials. I have an LG refrigerator, made in Korea, which I bought to replace the nearly new but crappy made-in-America GE refrigerator we had. Oh, and I don't oppose miscegenation. I love looking at Beyoncé Knowles. There's something mightily attractive about an African and Creole mix, don't you think? I like Asian-ancestry women, too, along with, of course, "white women" and Latinas. Penélope Cruz sure does it for me. I guess I'm just not a white bread only boy. You are not unlike many righties...you haven't a clue about racism and what it is. Of course, you're part of a political party that lives off racism. Taking jobs away from American workers. That's our union man. |

A guy who does a lot of boat wood refinishing around here is from the Philippines. He's proud of his heritage, and calls himself "Phil the Filipino," though my guess is his real first name is Felipe. Everyone calls him Phil the Filipino. I guess we're all racists in your mind, since almost every reference to him mentions his heritage. Incidentally, guess what the place name Philippines translates from...and why? |

Paul you are so similar to Harry in every way you are either the same person or you were separated at birth. But, I can't imagine one mother having both of you, it must have broke her heart. What is the moral code of secular humanists? For those who do not know, and you, obviously, are among them, the answer is easy enough to find: http://www.secularhumanism.org/index...age=sh_defined If that is too oblique or esoteric for those with a limited formal education: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secular_humanism Simple definition from Wiki: Secular Humanism is a secular philosophy that espouses reason, ethics, and the search for human fulfillment, and specifically rejects supernatural and religious dogma as the basis of morality and decision-making. Secular Humanism is a life stance that focuses on the way human beings can lead happy and functional lives. What any of that has to do with what a fellow calls himself and prefers to be called, e.g., Phil the Filipino, is beyond me. |
