It's probably jacked up a little since that's an area notorious for

I meant on the boat. A brand new OB and a boat that needs some TLC!

What kind of boat does everyone own, if you could have your
dream boat
what would it be?

I own a '96 Doral 36 Express Cruiser. *My dream boat would be
a 50" Trawler.

Right now I have a 16 foot Brockway type skiff with a 25
horse. Really
set up for party more than work though with large decks, side
handles
for swimming and a custom folding ladder.. My dream boat is a
simple 21
foot center console with an adequate outboard.. I would like
to be
capable of 25-30 mph with a couple passengers.

My little 18' Key West might be right up your alley. I love it.

Oh **** 'cha... I saw it at the show with the Spaceman, it would
make a
good river cruiser... But now that I think of it, my needs may have
changed in the last couple years, I think I might want a small
cuddy too
like the one I was going to build the year I moved to take care
of dad..
Just spaced out for a few this afternoon, wasn't thinking.

When looking at a small cuddy at a boat show, the salesman said,
"The cabin
becomes nothing more than a storage closet."

Then we bought the 21' Proline with the cuddy. Yup, the salesman
was right. It
became a place to store rods, reels, etc. With the CC, I'm forced
to put stuff
away, where it belongs, rather than just put it in the cabin for
the next time.

John, you're right. Small cuddies are glorified enclosed bow boats,
and yes, it's a good place for storage, and it keeps everything dry
and out of the sun... but you!

At 6'4" I couldn't sleep in the cuddie of my 23' Marquis if I had to.
But I'm going to take advantage of the space and do some cool things
with it. It seems there's lots of wasted space under the flooring and
here about.

After examining (thank you) the lay out of your camper trailer, I saw
how the builders made the absolute maximum creature comforts in the
space provided. *My craftsman/carpenter buddy and I are working out
details for the modding.

That sounds exciting!

What are you planning to do in there?

Not really sure yet, John. Not any room for a shower or a real 'head'
but,,, small sink and pressured water. even hot water can be
arranged... I'll be *checking out camper/RV components *for a while.

They make seat covers for Home Depot buckets.

What more could you want?

A flushing model with a holding tank?

Your boy, Don, doesn't have a steering wheel. *Are you going to trash
him when he returns?

Those guys just never grow up. Same 'ole, same 'ole!

I guess I could borrow a comment from an avid canoe paddler when comparing
that style to a kayak paddler...
He said "half the paddle... twice the paddler".
So I'll claim that a tiller operator is twice the sailor as the wheel
grabber.

I long ago gave up reading LG Krueger's posts. He's only here to snipe,

What I saw in Miami this weekend that looked nice.

What I have
http://gfretwell.com/electrical/The%20Butt%20Ugly.jpg

Looks a lot like Paul Allens boat.

Looks like whoever took that picture, of the Mirqab, could use a couple lessons
in composition.

I had few options from my balcony and the ship's captain was not
willing to move the davit or wait until I could get up on deck for a
better shot. We were on the fast side of hull speed.

You need a Davit Eraser:

I guess we could have laid it over the sail boat with Atlantis behind
it. I just did not want to manipulate the photo and get accused of
faking anything here. ;-)

The davit adds to your photo.

I can see no reason why anybody would accuse you of that. Faking pics is
not a group thing, here it's just one individual who has done it...

Likely the same architect/builder. I heard that Paul was trying to
buy his way up the builder's schedule and the next in line was the
Sultan of Brunei.
