Those on the far left, and those on the far right will both become
unhinged after Obama's state of the union address last night. The left
will claim that it was the best thing ever (not bad, but not great in my
opinion) and the right will think there were subliminal messages, etc.
that means that Obama wants to "shred the constitution", ruin the
country, wants the world to become Muslim, etc.

I'm on the far left (by rec.boats standards) and I thought it was
boring. Not nearly as boring as Bush, though.

I missed the Republican response and, sadly, Michele Bachmann's
response. I went to bed right after Obama finished. Obama's speech had
the right tone for the occasion. I thought Boehner looked as if he were
in a self-induced coma, except when Obama mentioned the speaker's father.

I was having a good laugh watching for what messages he supported.
Anything that was good for american public that Boner thought his
constituents (insurance companies) might not like was ignored.

No support of any health care progress, no support of repealing DADT,
no support of repealing tax cuts for wealthiest, no support of
anything that could be considered anti-business, including closing
loopholes in tax policy.

Bachmann looked like she was high on something. Her pupils were
dialated to the size of a dime. Spooky looking. I wouldn't doubt she
did it on purpose in the interest of throwing a hex on the simple.

It obviously worked on you. ;-)

Boehner looked more pale than usual.

It looked like he was starting to tear up when Obama talked about his
hardscrabble youth.

Boner has a hardscrabbled brain, pickled from too much drink.

I finally got to see some of the Bachmann presentation. There's no
question she is well-suited to be spokesperson for the teabaggers.

Wingers have proven they'll follow a good looking broad without regard
to her direction or destination. I heard Meghan McCain describe her
as "a poor man's Sarah Palin." And here I thought Sarah Palin was the
stupid white man's Charlton Heston.

Bachmann looked spooky during her presentation. Oh wait, that job was
taken by Christine O'donnell.

The far right crazies certain put up some bizarre candidates - palin,
bachmann, angle, o'donnell...wowser. It's hard to top bachmann and
o'donnell for sheer lunacy, angle for being out of control, and palin
for colossal ignorance.

Bozama has them all beat. The biggest bonehead of the century, so far.
