The bitch doesn't get any better. I guess that's called 'freedom of expression'
or maybe 'progressive patriotism'.

YOU ARE RIGHT ON!!

That was the talk of the local talk radio show this morning. I can't believe we
let someone do that to our National Anthem on a program as televised as the
Super Bowl.

The dumb ass didn't even know the words. Friggin' waste.

You're as narrow minded as Harry.

In her defense... She does know the words and has performed the Anthem
at many Professional Sports events including and mostly in the NBA...

How many million folks were listening, she may have been a bit nervous
with the folks sitting there watching?

How good was her monitor (remember, she is singing acapella which in
that situation means, you don't hear anything)?

It's not an easy song, especially to sing it under those circumstances
can challenge even the greatest voices in the world, and indeed it has,
many more times than you obviously remember.

I have nothing for Christina, good voice, still just another "if I pull
my skirt over my head, will you buy my records" female "rockstar"..
Certainly not the soul maven she would wish to emulate. But at the same
time, she has a decent voice and I am pretty sure she came into this gig
with all of the focus and good intent you would expect from any
professional... Get off her back, or go sing the anthem somewhere
sometime, acapella, with headphones on playing something else, in front
of everybody in the world you count of to make a living, friends family,
peers, the President of the USA!!!... Then come and talk to me.....

Just sayin' I have worked "acapella" and solo on stage in a quiet
atmosphere, and it ain't easy...

Perhaps if she had just tried to sing the song straight, without adding 37
syllables to every word, she wouldn't have screwed it up so badly.

This isn't the first time the ditsy broad has performed publicly. For some
reason she found it necessary to make The Star Spangled Banner 'her own' with
all the additional bull****.

Pressure, my ass.

Tim is spot on.

Most Americans canNOT sing the Anthem. That's why they substitute
America The Beautiful most of the time. What a disgrace. Her using
that wavy bull**** style.

Yeah, that warbly excuse for singing makes my skin crawl.... *in ANY
song....

The other thing that gets me is this: Americans are VERY patriotic.
But MOST Americans CANNOT sing their " patriotic " National Anthem.
They now substitute " America The Beautiful" , due to the fact that
most CAN sing this lovely song.I do think it is a very nice song.

When I was a boy in public school, we used to HAVE to sing "God Save
The Queen" and say the Lords Prayer EVERY morning. After several
years, it became singing O Canada, followed by the Lords Prayer.
Now, BOTH have been cut from any curriculum, just to be " politically
correct". I find this disgusting. I'm sure that singing of the
American Anthem is still done in most schools. Texas for sure. They
seem to be the ONLY State, that held FIRM to that. Bully for Texas !!

yeah, after going back and hearing it, she is also an idiot... but I
still think she came in with good intent...

I just can't agree. She's among a big hand full of singers who think they should
add their own 'melodies,' or whatever that ****'s called, to the National
Anthem. I've never heard it work well. Going up the octave on the word 'free'
isn't too bad, if the singer can do it well, but that gal just sucked all the
way around. Hell, she belongs right up there with this gal:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ls1YVhcLD2c

They both suck.

Yeah, Harry, FOX certainly changed the game. You don't like

Yeah, but if one does it well,t hen many think they can do it well,
then it becomes a trend.

Then it begins to get stale.
