Default Song of the Day - dedicated to deplume..

Although the entire video is great, the reason for this post starts at the 4:00
minute mark. It's kind of a choke-up moment, even though it's about 22 years
old.

"God Bless America" is a great song, as is "This Land is Your Land," and
"America the Beautiful." Any of the three would make a better national
anthem than the nearly impossible to sing "Star-Spangled Banner," which,
in addition to its other problems, is a militaristic piece of doggerel.
My personal favorite is Guthrie's, with *all* its verses. Next, "America
the Beautiful."

I'll bet not one person in 10,000 knows the lyrics of even the first
verse of the "Star-Spangled Banner."

The Russian national anthem is also a doozy to sing, apparently.

Although that moment in time was before she drew her first breath, It's got
to have wet all of her lips to see so many Russian soldiers honoring
America.

I sure hope that Don contacts the FBI and the "ISP licensing agency"
soon, I need a laugh.

I'm shocked that you would even listen to anything that has the name
Kennedy associated with it.

Why? JFK was about the only honest democrat going in my life. He would
be the only democritter I would even consider voting for.

Socialism is a great ideal as long as someone else pays for it. And when
no one is left to pay for it, they all can share nothing.

You're replying to a post that has nothing to do with this post...
typical idiot.

JFK got elected probably in some measure due to Mayor Daley rigging
votes in Chicago.

Suggestion: Look things up before typing. (I'm assuming, of course,
you're doing your own typing, which I admit is a leap of faith.)
