Just be careful not to catch a Goliath Grouper, you will be called a

Probably not unless "she" Googles it up. :-)

Darn good parrot though, repeats everything verbatim.

We had a Giant Grouper living under our boat for a few days down in
the Dry Tortugas a few years ago. Every once in awhile it would poke
its head out so you could see it. The mouth on it was the size of a
pie plate, looked like it could have swallowed a football in one
gulp.

If you ever find yourself in Point Lookout Md go to Scheible's
restaurant. The crab cakes are great but take a look at the 326 pound
J fish in his display case by the cash register. (I assume it is still
there) Doug Scheible was running his head boat (Bay Queen) down in the
Keys and some woman had a 30 pound or so Amberjack on and the mate was
helping her reel it in when he saw the big fish following it up. When
they got it on the boat they immediately hooked it up on a 6/0 rig and
dropped it back to him.
The woman was losing her mind. That J fish came right back and took
that jack like it was a finger mullet.
Long story short it is in the case now.

These days you can't keep one.

I've heard the spearfishermen nearly wiped them out, so the law stepped
in.

We had the same thing happen with Striped Bass. The law stepped in and
they are coming back now...
