I see no reason to mention the brand names here of current cars,
motorbikes, boats, et cetera. BTW, I'm pretty sure my motorbike
will
out-accelerate your 'vette to 60 mph and some ways beyond.

That would be your Zimmerman-like bike, right?

Nope, it's Italian, and it's very fast. Faster than your pushrod
V8 hawg
car under many conditions, I am sure, though I'm not a skillful
enough
rider to wring its best out of it.

I can't do this, but I've seen tests of the same model I have run
the
quarter mile in a hair over 10 seconds, with a terminal velocity
of 145
mph. How's that hawg 'vette do in the quarter mile?

Bull****, YOU said right here last year that you bought a
Kawasaki....

And that was probably a lie as well. As many times as he's said that
no one needs or should have a high perfomance boat, car, etc., you can
be sure he didn't buy a high performance bike or sports car. And if
he did, em would be along in a minute questioning his manhood, right?

This is really some high-dollar entertainment, and for free! :-

Actually, I did buy a Kawasaki, I kept it for a while, more than a
year,
and then I sold it to buy an Italian bike, which was my first
preference, but I didn't want to make that sort of investment until I
determined whether I'd still enjoy motorcycling.

My guess is that my non-British sports car accelerates about as fast as
your 'vette, and that you have 10-15 mph top end on me. Maybe, if your
valve train can actually take it. I know my non-Japanese Italian
motorcycle will out-accelerate your 'vette on the straights and in the
right driver's hands (not mine, to be sure), blow you right off any
real
sports car racing track. I know that because a model similar to what I
have has been raced against Ferrari's and Lamborghini's and has come
out
on top...with a pro motorcycle racer doing the driving.

LOL! Those are some serious feelings of inadequacy you have, krause!
Too funny!

Write up some more funny stuff boasting about things you've never done
or owned to make yourself seem more important to us. Come on, this is
great! Set the fiction writer in you free! Haha!!!

Inadequacy? You mean because I wanted to "experiment" with an
inexpensive motorcycle before I bought an expensive one? Many years
ago, while in college, I suffered a neck/back injury that was severe
enough to make it impossible for me to ride the motorcycle I had at
that time, a two cylinder Honda. I had to sell the bike. I was fairly
certain the injury over the years healed properly and that I could
ride a motorcycle again. So I spent a small amount of money on a
Kawasaki to see if I would be able to ride reasonable distances, up to
a couple of hundred miles. After messing around with the bike locally,
one morning I drove off to Virginia Beach and back. It was a
successful trip, neck and back wise, as it were, so I seriously began
considering getting the bike I really wanted. Simple enough.

Or do you think I am feeling "inadequate" because I'm not ashamed to
admit I am *not* a skilled professional motorcycle racer? Well, I'm
not. Driving a motorcycle around a sports car track at 160+ mph is not
something I would do. But...a bit of stoplight drag racing against
snotnoses like you in 'vettes? Absolutely. Actually, I haven't had the
pleasure with a 'vette, but I have had some fun with boy racers in V8
Mustangs, Chryslers, and BMWs. When they finally pull up next to me at
the next traffic light and say, "What the hell is that?" I have the
pleasure of saying, "It's just my Duc, a little Italian motorcycle."
And it's not even the "hot" model.

Nothing against your 'vette...nice car, but not my taste. Too big, and
I don't much like the interiors.

Bull**** - all of it.

It's pretty funny... notice how he fails to mention exactly what "less
powerful little sports car" he has? That's because if he really has
one, it isn't nearly a 4.3 second car. Not taking anything away from
small, nimble British or other marque sports cars, but they are
typically 6-10 second cars. They are great fun to drive, but even a
base Corvette will eat them alive on a track.

But if he can post a pic of his chubby fingers holding a harry nametag

4.5 seconds or less, I know we'd all like to see it!

He can take his alleged 4.3 second sports car to Bud's Creek and run and
get a slip to prove its speed.

Actually, as I later stated, it is only "nearly" as quick to 60 as Jack
*claims* his car is, according to the reports I've read. 4.5 to 4.8
seconds. Informally, I've only gotten 5.1 seconds to 60, but that's with
two aboard and the passenger running the stopwatch and me saying, "60
now." Not typical real road test test conditions.

As for a "base Corvette" eating them alive on a track, that sort of
depends upon who is driving, eh? Ol' Jack's car may have the potential,
but that doesn't mean he does.

Corvettes are nice cars. I've never been a fan of them because of their
size, their looks, their harsh ride, their so-so interiors, their
quality of interior assembly, but that's just a matter of taste. To me,
their appearance is, well, overdone.
