![]() Grifter finds new costume... From Raw Story poster: Several years ago, while I was running a small business, there was a fellow running another business across the street from mine. I was suspicious, however, that his was not a real business, but some kind of scam. He lived high for awhile on investors' money: fancy clothes, expensive car (which turned out to be rented), fancy home in an expensive neighborhood. To me he was just a wise-ass kid, but he behaved like he was some kind of corporate big shot, and a lot of fools believed it. He even talked the city fathers into giving him a grant to buy the building. When the bottom finally fell out his customers and workers got stiffed and he had pocketed all the workers' withholding tax, so IRS seized everything, including the building. He went into hiding and his partner skipped the country. Didn't hear a word about the guy for about four years, then he popped up as a Tea Party activist. So, I'm not the least bit surprised to hear that some other Tea Party people have stiffed one of their vendors; that seems to be just the kind of folks they're prone to be. |

Sounds more like a liberal. Quote the credible links as I call your bull****. You don't sound like an idiot. You are an idiot. No kidding. Here's a story about the Tea Party skipping out on one their biggest supporters, Venetian owner Sheldon Adelson. They screwed one of their own... The Venetian Casino Resort in Las Vegas has filed a lawsuit against Tennessee-based Tea Party Nation for allegedly failing to pay a more than $600,000 bill. The Las Vegas Review Journal reported that the hotel claims the tea party group owes money for a five-day convention it canceled at the hotel last summer. The Tea Party Nation reserved 1,637 room nights in the Palazzo hotel, according to court documents. The tea party group cancelled two weeks before the event. The group agreed to pay the hotel $579,148 in the event of a cancellation and $87,996 in interest has since been added to that amount. The Venetian's lawyers claim the Tea Party Nation "has refused, and continues to refuse, to make payment," despite being contacted numerous times, LA Weekly reported. Tea Party Nation Founder Judson Phillips told Las Vegas Review Journal that hasn't seen the lawsuit yet. I haven't heard of a movement with the teabagger membership to send back the funds they might receive from social security or the benefits they might receive from medicare or any of the other largess they might receive as a result of federal programs. They want the bennies, they simply don't want to pay for them. I wonder if Eric Cantor will get any slack for his short selling of U.S. financial instruments? They don't want to pay for anything. The country's expenditures materialize from thin air. To hell with roads, bridges, schools and the police. |
