Dr. Edward A. Patrick of Union, Kentucky, has gone on record as the
uncredited "co-developer" of what became known as the Heimlich maneuver: http://heimlichinstitute.com/Cornell...Magazine2.html Other evidence suggests that Dr. Patrick may be the actual inventor of what became known as the Heimlich maneuver. Esch fabricated case reports to promote the use of the Heimlich maneuver for near-drowning rescue, may be found he http://heimlichinstitute.com Information regarding the involvement of Jeff Ellis & Associates and that company's promotion of the use of the Heimlich maneuver for drowning may be found he http://heimlichinstitute.com/IOM-AHA-ARC_Ellis.html -end- |
