Hey, he was perfectly normal until the safety meeting this morning.

CUPERTINO, Calif. —

Authorities went door to door with guns drawn Wednesday in search of a
disgruntled employee they say opened fire at a Northern California
limestone quarry, killing three and wounding six, before possibly
wounding another woman in an attempted carjacking.

Schools were on lockdown or closed in the Silicon Valley city of
Cupertino and nearby Los Gatos as SWAT teams sought Shareef Allman,
47.

Allman was at a routine safety meeting at the quarry at about 4:30
a.m. when he became disgruntled and left, Santa Clara County Sheriff's
Lt. Rick Sung said. He then returned with a handgun and rifle and
started shooting people, Sung said.

Sheriff Laurie Smith said two people were pronounced dead at
Permanente Quarry in Cupertino, and a third person died later at the
hospital.

Six others at the quarry were wounded and taken to area hospitals,
Smith said. Some of them remained in critical condition, she said.

If you won't defend yourself and your family, I guess that is your
business. Maybe you are OK with the crazy guy with the weapon making
your hard decisions for you. I don't feel that way, I'll make my own
decisions. If all else fails, I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried
by 6.

Do you carry your sidearm at work? They were all at work in a quary.

Please explain to me how what you've said has anything to do with this
situation?

Have people just gone ****ing insane? The guy who brought out his
weapon was perfectly sane prior to bringing out his weapon and
shooting the **** out of 9 people.

****, what does it take to get through the thick American skull?

------------------------------------------
Why do you think he was sane? He came there to kill the coworkers. Should
have been fired for careless driving a lot earlier. But probably union
protected his ass. He brought the pistol and another rifle to work. He
set
the rifle outside the door where he could access it quickly. Tells me this
was not fly off the handle shooting. Was like Columbine, planned. And the
cops waited outside Columbine while the shooters killed for at least 45
minutes after the cops arrived. One armed teacher and at least one shooter
dead. Same with this nutcase in California. One armed person and he gets
shot before shooting 10 people.

No one is arguing about the speed at which his insanity took hold. He
was obviously somewhat perturbed and probably planned it but what the
**** are you suggesting? How many people should carry firearms at
work? Is it everybody or only a certain percentage and do those folks
have to submit to a psychological work up beforehand?

The basic bitch that I have is that our society and guns, for whatever
reason, have a hard time mixing.

We're into instant gratification and that can certainly be achieved
with a gun.

There's no good solution. The cat's out of the bag and we're ****ed.
A lot of innocent people are going to die because of graft and
corruption perpetrated by the gun industry, the NRA and those stupid
cocksuckers in Washington who couldn't wait to get their hands on that
campaign cash.

Guns are ****ing everywhere and in the hands of a population that
clearly cannot handle the responsibility.

-------------------------------------------
Alaska is a very polite state. Even the locals tell it like it is. The
fact that about 95% of the people (adult) may be armed at any time, makes
for politeness.

Who advocates arming "everyone"?

You made that up, didn't you, so you could look good by calling it
"insane logic"?!

Are you the only person fielding arguments in rec.boats?

I suggest you read some of Bertie Poop's fertile insights.

I know it's hard for you parse with comprehension because of your
anti-gun prejudice, but no one was advocating arming criminals.

The fact is that where citizens are armed, and it's known they are
armed, crimes against them are reduced, though not eliminated.

As has been demonstrated before, your agenda is not merely one of
reducing gun related deaths.

"Those stupid cocksuckers" that you voted for "in Washington" send guns
to Mexican drug cartels which ended up being used to kill innocents.
Then your "stupid cocksuckers in Washington" lied about it.

What a disingenuous person you are.

Is he gonna' actually try to put Fast and Furious on the gun lobby. It
was directly from Holder, he is a racist and a liar. But of course, he
will not be held accountable, he is a democrat. He should be tried for
first degree murder, in Texas!

Right after the Bush Admin is for lying us into two wars and getting

I carry a concealed weapon. I have since I was a child. Funny, I never
thought of it as anything but a pocket knife. All of my friends did,
too. We never thought of attacking somebody else with a weapon. Issues
of honor were dealt with our fists. Now, I carry a firearm as a
concealed weapon and I often have a long gun in the truck. I have
since I was 21 YO. It has never occurred to me to shoot anybody, but I
AM prepared for the person that it HAS occurred to. Some people have
no honor and they have murderous intent. Capitulation is a way to get
your family murdered, raped, pillaged, and burnt. I'm just not taking
that chance, when I have a viable option. I can't image anyone taking
a different course; or WHY they would.

Jesus, danger lurks wherever you are.

People with clean records aren't criminals until they are. Did this
guy in Cupertino ever have trouble with the law? Not from what I've
read. He just got fed up and snapped.

Anyone with a brain knows that's possible for any human being, given
the right circumstances. And, in America, we're used to immediate
gratification.

Guns and immediate gratification do not mix well.

For Americans not to recognize the folly in the wide distribution of
firearms is as stupid as not recognizing that Walmart-style globalism
spells the demise of our middle class.

It's past the time that people should have woken up but it's not
happening. Too bad for the USA.
