From the Slatest...
The debate over the Occupy Wall Street protests took on a harsh tenor Friday, with Republican leader Rep. Eric Cantor denouncing the demonstrators as “mobs” and slamming President Obama for allegedly encouraging them. “This administration's failed policies have resulted in an assault on many of our nation's bedrock principles,” he said. “If you read the newspapers today, I for one am increasingly concerned about the growing mobs occupying Wall Street and the other cities across the country. And believe it or not, some in this town have actually condoned the pitting of Americans against Americans.” CBS News has video of his statement, delivered at a conservative “Values Voter Summit” in Washington. - - - Eric is increasingly concerned that the eventual outcome of these demonstrations is that a couple of dollars might be diverted from his rich contributors to starving Americans. -- I'll believe corporations are people when Texas executes one. |

Squat really, ok, some nobody small fry as a token gesture but mortgage and loan bundling and fraud continue to this day. At very minimum, it is with DC support. Second same as Adolf Hitler and unions, stoke up the envy and the greed, get people to bypass reason and persecute the companies and the rich for Obama personal political gain. Same way Adolph rose to power via the nationalist socialist party of Germany pre WW II. That is, Obama preys on the ignorance of the masses. The real crooks like Bernanke answer to Obama and Congress, not to Wall Street. Fix DC Government and Bank corruption, and the economy will stabilize. As anyone knows, the markets reflect future earnings potential and always seeks the current view of 10s of millions of investors voting with their money. Fact is Obama is a corrupt idiot lined with his own need for political greed and power. But $5 trillion later and no results, people are rightfully getting ****ed off. -- Eat the rich, screw the companies and wonder why there are no jobs. -- Obama and the lefty fleabagger attitude |
