Ah, yes, the inevitable attempt at misdirection when caught being a flaming hypocrite. "It's OK for Apple to be anti-union when *I* say it's OK, because *i* like Apple products." |

Not sure if they are union, but Dell at least assembles them in the USA. Pricey too as far as PCs are concerned. Hint: It ain't Apple, Dell, HP, or Lenovo. What is the country of manufacture of that crappy desktop you use to run your internet services provider company on? Atari? http://www.unionbuiltpc.com/ By the looks of it, crappy PCs union priced with Asian parts. Costco sells ZT Systems, USA assembled. Also Dell, USA assembled. None of those alternatives run the Apple OS as their primary operating system. They're just clone PC's. Most Dell computers are not USA assembled. If I wanted a clone PC for my use, I might have considered one. But I didn't. Earlier this year, I bought a new PC for my wife. Her computing needs at home are minimal: word processing, email, web browsing, iTunes for her iPod, Picasa for her photos. It was a Dell. When it arrived, I opened it up to see what was in the plastic desktop box. Plain vanilla motherboard, Intel Core i5 cpu, 8 gigs of non-descript ram, graphics on motherboard, et cetera. All Asian parts and the sort of assembly a 12-year-old kid could do in his sleep. No "Assembled in the USA" sticker. |
