I agree about the counties you mentioned but Anne Arundel used to be pretty rural too. I suppose that is different now that anything within 50 miles of DC is considered reasonable commuting distance. I doubt any of this applies to the Eastern Shore. St. Mary's is still pretty much as it was, aside from some shopping areas. I was talking about the college down there.
